New Face of Womens Hospital
In front of our house is an old Victorian Women's Hospital. It was built in the early 1800's and went out of service a few decades ago.
I have many friends in Cornwall who all tell me they were born there. and it brings back nice thoughts of their childhood whenever they visit.
I have been following the progress of its "regeneration". As a listed building the outward looks of the building cannot be altered so the builders have lovingly repaired and replaced missing stones. New windows have been put in and ironwork balcony's in the Victorian style are being erected.
This week things are suddenly starting to happen on the face of the building outside our front door. Very exciting
