Board Stupid!

OK! So here is my progress in the water....

My second sea victory is the use of a body board for the first time today - only the 2nd time in the sea. Not only is it my first time with a board but also Mels....

We headed on down to Gwithian beach with Sally-Ann, Mike, Jamie, Phill and Mel. Jamie and Phill had surf lessons booked and Mel and I intended to conqour some more fears.

Sally-Ann and Mike wanted to use their new full body wet suits - (they fell for mine and headed off to the same shop I went to) and new board for Sally-Ann.

Mel and I went in with a little trepidation, but I was soon lying down riding the waves, copying what Mike and Sally-Ann were doing in order to get the timing right....

and oh my goodness what fun!

then it was Mel's turn - and yes I did bully her a bit as she was a bit more scared than I was, but bless her, she did it and loved it too!

Sally-Ann then leant me her board, which had a slick bottom, for extra wave speed, and Mel and I went off again, together this time...

Before we came back in, nearly 2 hours later we thought a blog piccie was in order before
we all headed home for our showers and de-salting, in readiness for a BBQ at ours this evening
